My goal is to encourage students to play + experiment with what works for them and their body until they find it

Having played sports all her life including hockey, tennis, marathon running and a short lived try at boxing, Katie has the personal understanding of what it is like to practice with a stiff and tight body, and with a number of asymmetries.
Originally coming to yoga as a way to develop some flexibility into her body and to improve sports performance, the practice gradually took hold of Katie’s life showing so many more benefits than the physical including emotional release, empowerment and the ability to change thought processing.
In one of Katie’s vinyasa classes you can expect a balanced flow, focusing both on strength and flexibility; these combined together giving you mobility. In her yin classes she incorporates the three elements of physical, mental and emotional and works with students to develop their own self-inquiry. Katie empowers and encourages students to explore their body and to make decisions based on the experience within rather than focusing on the aesthetic of the pose.
Based in Tufnell Park, North London, Katie has completed her 500hr UK Alliance teacher training and continues to develop her teaching. Her particular interests are anatomy, functional movement and the power yoga has the power to change your mindset. Other than her teacher trainings she has also studied with Jo Phee, Sarah Powers, Donna Farhi, Gary Carter and Jason Crandell.
If you are interested in private or corporate yoga classes please email, phone or fill out the form on the contacts page or I'd love to see you in one of my classes.
